Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons - was born at Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. Her father taught at school, as did her mother, who was a housewife. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick has always loved singing, dancing and creating performances with puppets. When she was just six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether the actress was keen to work in show business. McCormick had her first significant job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. A year later she appeared in the company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was quickly selected for the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 200 auditioned kids, played the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The run of five years for the show was a great success. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the television show she almost lost virginity with her brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams. This would have occurred as she describes. However, the timing for our marriage was not the right one.
